My brother recenly passed away. He was mentally retarded and physically challenged from a traumatic brain injury that happened when he was 2yrs old. He was 50 when he died. The nursing home staff did not know how to relate to him even though he had been there over 10yrs. The hospital did not know how to relate to him. He got Covid and was in the hospital 29 days and they would not let one of us stay with him even though his mentality was that of a 5yr old. If he had actually 5 they would have aloud someone to stay with him. I want to purpose legislation that requires healthcare providers and first-responders to be trained in how best react to this type of situation
