Our little town has expanded exponentially, which has contributed to increased traffic on Township Road 531.  This is a concern for several reasons: this is the only road in which we can access Ardrossan by foot, the speed limit is 80 km/hr, the ditches are steep making them impossible to walk in, and the hill greatly reduces visibility.  There are many of us who live in Horton Place who walk, bike, and horseback ride regularly.  Residents from town enjoy walking through our subdivision as well.  Walking my dog and taking my young kids to the playground is often frightening because traffic regularly speeds by and the hill makes it impossible for the drivers to see us.  

I am asking the county to:

- lower the speed limit between RR 221 and Main Street 

- post caution signage indicating children at play and share the road

- ideally add a sidewalk
