The roads in and around Beck Row are treated like a race track, despite it being a 30mph zone. There is a speed monitor sign on Aspal Lane, and another on “The street” in Holywell Row - which appear to add to the problem, with some seemingly seeing it as a challenge (when they’re working).
Cats and other animals are often reported to have been run over in the area.
This weekend saw an incident in Aspal lane whereby, two drivers were racing around the village. One vehicle overtook the other, resulting in a collision, which forced one vehicle to mount the pavement before colliding with a hedge. Fortunately A; no one was on the pavement at the time and B; the vehicle stopped before entering the garden behind where a family with young children live. 
This is a residential area with both young and elderly people. Accidents like this should not be happening. 
This is a petition for further traffic calming measures to be installed, such as speed bumps, before someone is seriously injured or killed.
