As we have seen progressive change concerning Women's Rights there is still a huge disparity in the way that White women are treated vs. the way Black Women are treated in this retail industry. It has been stated by - inside employees & former employees of the Trader Joe's brand - that although Trader Joe's does hire Black minorities whose pasts are far from perfect (having criminal backgrounds) Trader Joe's doesn't actually 'Toot it's Horn' to the sound of promoting any Black Females, in particular, to the role of Captain. The *Captain role is the highest role of the 3 tiered pyramid (Captain - Sr. Manager, Mate - Assistant Manager & Crew regular crew members) which you can attain within any of the Trader Joe's stores also affiliated with the Grocery retailer ALDI.

Trader Joe's chooses to be very mindful of who they allow to steer the wheel of their ship(s) & has created a very strategic hiring process which creates little room for any Educated Black American Female to be promoted to any role above the infamous Mate position (Assistant Manager) giving off the impression that discrimination doesn't exist; but we all know how modern day slavery works. Only the store grounds (or shall we say plantation fields) now have White Women controlling every single move of their Black Female Counterpart.

Regional Vice Presidents are said to be of a 'cult' and refuse to take any Black Female higher than the role of Mate (Assistant Managers) while their white counterparts - who struggle to understand Black culture - believe that many Black Females do not have the Mental or Emotional capacity to handle the wheel. Black Females according to Trader Joe's' White Managers are liars & thieves and cannot be trusted. Washington D.C.'s Florida Avenue location is known to be run by a racist Captain by the name of Rebekah Eagle ("allegedly") , alongside racist Mates Sarah, Lazar & Leigh ("allegedly") who all agree to have crew members clean bathrooms and breakrooms while wearing garbage bags. Is this the Trader Joe's WOE experience because clearly their is NO WOW in being condescending to the people who work for you. Ewwww. I'd rather not sail with this sinking ship. 

If you Believe that Black Females are trustworthy women, capable of steering the wheel and should be Promoted to the six-figured salary position ($150k+bonuses) then sign the petition. Demand Trader Joe's to say, Aye! Aye! Captain to Black Females because they certainly do deserve it . Say, Yes to DIVERSITY! Say NO TO RACISM & DISCRIMINATION.
