The Trader Joe's new line system has irritated the entire USC community. Many students now walk in, see the line, and walk back out, entirely skipping out on their grocery shopping for the time being. The line has wrapped around all the way to the alcohol section, and taken upwards of 7 minutes to go through. It also makes the frozen food aisle incredibly difficult to shop and obstructs much of the store.

While students understand operations and queuing theory can be difficult to fully grasp as consumers, the overall student body is unhappy with the changes. It makes the experience much more frustrating, and is making students resent going to the previously beloved Trader Joe's. We would like to request either going back to the old line system, or revising how it is currently being done so there is not just a line wrapping through the whole store during peak and even non-peak hours.
