In the interest of good planning. There should NEVER- EVER be any city street with lanes wider than 10' (11' if it is a bus route). No urban arterial should be designed for speeds in excess of 35mph, and Vine street should never EVER have a design that promotes faster speeds than 30mph. and this design does not meet known safety guidelines

We really need sidewalks, but don't need the street widened. Safer pedestrian traffic, less auto traffic through the neighborhood.

I'll sign yours, if you'll sign mine.... seriously SaveNotPave.org is equally trying to keep from needless road expansion through our Cottonwood Heights neighborhood. Please contact me at 801-835-9440. Ellen Birrell

Widening streets rarely eases congestion. More asphalt and fewer trees will make the neighborhood much hotter. Putting traffic closer to homes will make those yards and houses much noisier. Let's not do this.

Vine Street is not an overly congested stretch. To widen this by almost half is obsurd. And ripping out mature trees for a turn lane ? Please tell me Murray has better ways to spend tax payer dollars than this.

I love the charm of Vine Street. I love the trees and feel we need to protect those mature trees that improve the life and health of everyone living in the Vine Street area. I also feel strongly that the public needs to be heard. It is the law and this Vine Street improvement is not allowing the input of local residents that are most impacted by these improvements. I live between 900 East and 1300 East off Vine Street. I am not at all happy with the improvement done already. It's a bigger street, harder to cross. I miss the trees that made this area so attractive to me when I moved here.

I'm signing to keep this street from becoming a traffic nightmare. One of the reasons I live here is because of the country lane effect this road currently has. I do not want to see it become what has happened to Vine Street from 900 E to 1300 E. Traffic now on this road is horrible!
