The iasd school dress code is sexist and it’s objectifying. We are young women ages 11-18 years old being treated like objects. It also makes boys seem like animals that can’t control control themselves when that is not how they are. Almost none of the boys in our schools don’t even notice girls shoulders and legs until pointed out by teacher. The dress code was made for political value in 1969 during the Vietnam war decades ago. Instead of worrying about our bodies worry about the attitudes of the students. The school is so worried about females bodies instead of bullies and fight happening every day. Attitudes can be changed but bodies can not.
