Reduced parking fees for Port Severn Park/Splash Pad for non-Georgian Bay residents
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
The township of Georgian Bay elected to install a paid parking meter at Port Severn Park (beach/splash pad/boat launch). Non residents are now expected to pay:
$2.50 per half hour
$5.00 per hour
$20 per day for a car/truck
$40 per day for a car/truck with a trailer
We all know great things don't stay free forever. I urge Georgian Bay Township to consider the hundreds of families that live within 20 km of this gem of a park, who utilize local restaurants, gas stations, and other services; who will no longer be able to afford to enjoy this place with their families.
The rate to launch your boat (by charging you parking) is more than any local marinas.
Consider options such as:
A decreased rate for residents within a 20 km radius to purchase an annual car parking pass
Decreased or free after 5 p.m. weekday parking
Matched rates to the city of Barrie. (Max $15/day).
I want to continue to enjoy this space with my family, and to continue to support the businesses of Port Severn. Will you let me?
