The Town of Chapleau held the 1st annual Gold Rush Nationals Drag Race in 2019. This event was put together with the support of multiple organizations. This exciting event brought competitors from all over Northern Ontario and abroad. It was widely embraced by the local community and the Community of Chapleau would like to see this as an annual event.

We want a by-law created which mandates that the Gold Rush Nationals Drag Race becomes an endorsed annual event to be held at the Chapleau municipal airport to be organized under the direct oversight of the Chapleau Regional Development Corporation.
