Neighborhood streets rebuild

Neighborhood streets rebuild
Why this petition matters
Our neighborhood is beautiful! Quiet streets, tall trees and families make this the place to live! But you know what doesn't? Our crumbling streets! Sagamore, Fairview and Valley View are really in bad shape: potholes, crumbling gutters and ripped up streets make it dangerous for our kids to ride their bikes, scooters and skateboards. The town recently repaved the dead end part of Sagamore. Wouldn't it be beautiful if the rest of the streets in the neighborhood have that same feel?
The town continues to come and occasionally fill in some of the worst potholes, but that is kind of like putting a band aid on a broken arm. It does not fix the problem! It would be great if the town would come and redo the streets in our neighborhood. Without sidewalks, we all walk our dogs, ride our bikes and jog on our streets. My hope is that if the town of Irondequoit knows how bad our streets are and that many of the residents in our neighborhood are looking for them to be redone, we can get on their schedule: sooner rather than later!
If you agree, please sign this petition. I will be sending it to Bob Kiley, who is the head of the Irondequoit Dept of Public Works along with pictures of some of the worst parts of our streets. Thanks!
