Less than a week ago, it was announced that the lease of 175E Main St in Tilton NH - also known as Pauli’s Bakery and Restaurant, would not be renewed by the owner of the building. Pauli’s was opened in 1990 by Cheryl Garrett and quickly became a staple to the town of Tilton. After Cheryls passing in 2019, Pauli’s was purchased by Melissa Dolpies, and with the assistance of her Husband Michael Dolpies, they worked tirelessly to continue serving the same quality of food the community had grown to love and appreciate throughout the years. 

The employees of Pauli’s are not just devastated with this news, but also outraged. As should the community.  We’ve grown to love and respect the restaurant just as much as the locals do. We think about the laughter that surrounds the bar on Saturday and Sunday mornings, the families we see religiously throughout the week, and the full tables of friends who have been bonding over hot coffee and our famous Hash over the past few decades. We’re outraged for Melissa and Michael who have put so much work into the establishment, and we think of the iconic Linda, who has been serving at Pauli’s for over 30 years. 

Paulie’s is due to shut its doors on January 31st - less than 2 months away. It is It’s our goal with this petition, that the owner of the building where we have built our strong reputation, will see the error in her ways and allow Pauli’s to continue serving the community for many more years to come, and also allow its employees to keep their jobs.
