Each day we are faced with a waste crisis on an international level. Locally, trash finds its way onto our beaches and in our parks damaging the beauty of our environment and most importantly polluting our ecosystems. Animals often mistake trash for food sources which leads to them ingesting our trash and ultimately causes death.

One major reason for trash ending up in our parks is simply because people are more inclined to leave it there when there are no bins available. Sadly many people will not go out of their way to recycle their trash, thus providing recycling bins in our parks would be a major key in implementing this global issue. Plastic recycling bins during this global crisis would be most beneficia, as it is estimated that at any given moment 165 million plastic particles are floating in waterways between New York and New Jersey. We can easily play a significant role in reducing this number by offering people the chance to recycling their plastic waste in public places.
