There continues to be a problem with people driving fast down Five Mile Road and drivers not paying attention coming out of the high school both before school and after school. We have students walking home and several have had near misses even when they are paying attention to the lights. We need to have a crossing guard or police there before and after school to make sure our kids are safe as well as to keep the traffic slow. 

My son has had several issues there and I have reached out to the town and police over a year ago. In addition, I presenting at a transportation meeting with this issue. It was supposed to be looked into. The safety of our students needs to be a priority and the cost of this fix should be minimal.
