We are a large family that need our garbage picked up every week.

Garbage ‘laws’ in Okotoks are ridiculous in every area.

Tired of Administration and Council ramming things down our throats. Our taxes go up, along with user fees (hidden taxes), or they reduce services with no corresponding reduction in fees charged. Council has to stop listening to administration and LISTEN to residents

I’m tired of the town ramming these things down our throats so they can win another award. We have the smallest garbage cans I’ve seen anywhere-we had no say. We now have 3 garbage cans per household strewn all over our alleys - we had no say. Be prepared at the open house to be talked down to and not listened to as they reiterate what we already know. Time for a change downtown.

Bi-weekly garbage pick up in Mountainview, sure no problem, where does Bill live? I'll be happy to drop my garbage off on the opposite week at his house or any other council members house.

Since moving to okotoks it's been a struggle to keep up with the waste. Each week my recycling is overflowing and garage is the same. Now that springs here my composting bin is overflowing and can't keep up. Bigger bins may help, but no chance of biweekly going well at all.

We already have small enough bins. Let alone biweekly

I live in a household of 9 people including a baby and kids. There is no way doing bi-weekly garbage pick up is possible in my house. Not everyone has the time nor money to make trips to the dump all the time, some households don't even have vehicles that are able to do that.

The town needs to remember we the residents of the town pay taxes and fees for the services we need and it is their job to provide them. Garbage is one of those services. nothing in the pilot will reduce our garbage since we don't control packaging. Bin sizes are too small to be efficient as it is. I do not feel the towns mission or goals are supported by the residents of this town and this needs to stop starting with Garbage pickup.
The town charges a fee for garbage pickup and needs to provide that service end of story.

It just doesn’t make sense! People cannot be expected to spontaneously reduce their waste by 50%! If you want to go ahead then provide alternatives to excess waste at no cost or hassle.
