Jennifer Stafford started this petition to Town of Newburgh, New York and

Nelson Pantoja, an artist who expresses himself through multiple mediums was hurt in an accident that left him 80% disabled.

Quickly he decided he couldn't stay at home and sit still. After a friend offered up property on 9W to lease to display his artwork, he decided to also follow through on one of his other lifelong dreams and open a food truck, Empanada Nirvana, where he serves up some of the best food you will ever taste!

Not only does Nelson offer discounts to Veterans and always offer someone in need a hot meal, but he found his chance to be able to bring smiles to everyone's face that comes to his space through not just his food, but people being able to walk through the property and enjoy his artistic expression.

He recently was told he was not allowed to display his artwork and was forced to fake it down. Town of Newburgh said this violated the amount of space he could use for his food truck despite he is displaying his work as part of his lifelong dream. He is not selling it, only expressing himself as an artist. After his hard work creating that space, it's all down now waiting for an appeal to be filed on the violation.

Please sign our petition to support Nelson as our friend, artist and person who has worked hard to make their dream a reality. We want to show the Town of Newbugh as an artist we support him and as a friend to whomever he meets he deserves to be able to display his work!
