Support for Old Village Dog Park - Mount Pleasant, SC

We are a concerned group of Mount Pleasant citizens that want to comply with the law and be considerate of our neighbors.

This group recognizes that the Town of Mount Pleasant has a leash law and that it is currently unlawful to have dogs off leash in public spaces.

We recognize the serenity, charm, and historic value of Old Village and Old Mount Pleasant and as such, we propose that a portion of the Gov. James Edwards Memorial Park be enclosed by distinctive fencing that meets community standards (not chain link) and henceforth, be designated an official off-leash dog park.

This group feels that this effort and resulting designation will serve a great need in our community.  Once sufficient time has elapsed for people to express their support, we will be sharing our petition and design with the Mayor and Town Council.
