The residents of the Town of Leland have lost all faith in their police department. It is time for town leaders to disband the department have the Brunswick County Sheriff's Department handle patrols until a new department can be established.

The Fix Leland Movement believes there is sufficient evidence to ask the Town of Leland to disband the police department.  Based on allegations, employee turnovers, etc, we the citizens feel the Leland Police Department has lost its credibility to maintain law and order within our town.

We hereby ask the town to request help from an outside law enforcement agency to enforce state, federal, and local laws in the town limits of Leland.
