Jackie Panek started this petition to Town of Ipswich

Pet Parents and Citizens of the Town of Ipswich- Please take a moment to sign our virtual petition to insert an Article on the Warrant for Town Meeting in October!

We need one hundred signatures; easy as pie! You must be a registered voter in Ipswich to sign this petition.

As much as we would enjoy knocking on doors and chatting with individuals in favor and taking notes from those opposed, with the current state of health we believe an electronic petition is the safest avenue for collecting signatures at this time. When prompted through the change.com screens, please choose “share.” DO NOT donate any money at this time.

Please share with your friends and family through social media, email, text messaging, and good old fashioned phone calls.

Thank you for your support!

A dog park in Ipswich will directly and greatly benefit many of its citizens.

Pet guardians will have a designated space to allow their furry friends to play off-leash, while motorists and pedestrians will be able to pass through the area without having to worry about an excited dog running in their direction.

When dogs have a clean, safe place to exercise and socialize with each other, they learn important behaviors and boundaries while forming friendships and routines.

A well socialized and exercised pet makes a better neighbor. Dogs that are lucky enough to get a long walk and a jaunt with friends will be much more content to relax and rest and less likely to be a nuisance in their neighborhood.

I believe that the amount of dogs in the town of Ipswich certainly warrants a large, safe, and entertaining enclosure for dogs and owners alike. Our pets thrive with a positive routine as do their owners. Having a common space for pet owners to let their dogs be dogs is a win-win for everyone- the pet, their owner, and the community as a whole.

Please sign our petition to create an enclosed dog park to allow dogs to play to their hearts content, while allowing every citizen the peace of mind that they deserve.
