From: Residents of the Town of Hamptonburgh
We the undersigned residents of the Town of Hamptonburgh are opposed to the
change in zoning proposed on Eager Road and the surrounding property being
considered for development as Hudson Crossing II from Residential R4 to LUI – Limited Uses Industrial. We feel that this change will negatively impact residents of our town in many ways, including but not limited to:
Having a significant impact to the environment due to massive development of
impervious surfaces that will cause drainage and run-off issues. Protection of
ground water is essential since our wells are our only domestic water source.
Increased pollution in the form of light, noise and traffic in our area.
Potential impacts to wildlife that lives in our area, as well as to the wetlands that
surround our homes.
Reducing home values in the surrounding areas of Neelytown Road, Eager
Road, Quarry Road and Route 416.
Detract from the quality of life that residents enjoy in our bucolic bedroom
We ask that you consider the voices of all of your constituents who have signed this petition and that you will vote “NO” on this proposed zoning change on April 3.
