The Town of Hamlin is attempting to remove our opportunity to be part of the financial boom two small businesses locally in the area as well as removing the opportunity of our town to collect hundreds of thousands of dollars in extra sales tax money from marijuana sales they can benefit our town in so many ways. It is also important to know that overdose rates in areas where marijuana has been allowed retail sales has cut those Numbers in half.It’s very important that our citizens are buying a safe and healthy product instead of on the street where it could be less with other narcotics that could have a fatal affects. No matter what the outcome marijuana will still be locally grown in our area and also used in the area. We can either control the market and benefit financially and for the sake of our communities health and safety or we can deny that.Even if the town decides to opt out this petition will help reversed their poor decision making.
