This is important because our town has been needing a public pool because of the heat-waves, drownings in Niagara River and the YMCA is quite the far distance for many children considering most of them live in the down-town area, which is where the Kinsmen Pool is located near the Sugar Bowl area.
How many kids do you know have more than five-dollars in their pockets. I don't think I know many. Bus fare is $2.50 and the pool at the Y is quite pricey if you ask me. It's so unfortunate that many people in our town have been getting sick because of E-coli in Crystal Beach and all the other beaches around in Fort Erie, Ontario.
It's too hot, and not everyone in Fort Erie has the luxury of owning a backyard inground/above ground pool. People need to beable to swim in a safe, clean environment. Lets prevent E-coli infections and drownings in unsupervised beaches.
This has been the second summer without a pool or anything for the students, adults even teenagers to have something to do.
Other issues with this cesspool are the effects of standing water due to neglect to even care about this situation. DO WE NOT MATTER IN THE TOWN OF FORT ERIE?
