This petition is being circulated to collect signatures of those residents that are in favor of the approval to allow for legal cannabis dispensary in Enfield, CT. Cannabis is a 17+ billion-dollar industry. Enfield would get to keep 3% of the overall tax revenue here locally. We’re talking about potentially hundreds a of thousands of dollars. We are also talking about good paying jobs. The median cannabis salary is $59,000 which is 11% higher than the national median salary. Cannabis jobs are also stable and usually provide good benefits. Cannabis dispensaries across the country have demonstrated a substantial revenue increase to the town in which they are located as well as a decrease in illegal drug use
