If you’re a resident of chili center or chili; you’re probably familiar with the 2 playground park ; Davis Park! Well as I’ve seen Davis park doesn’t have a significance behind its name. The playground has been basically the same for the last 20 years I have lived there. Last year on August 4th, 2019, a lot of us lost our sweet girl, Alison Hassett, also known as Ali. She was loved by many; family, friends, the dance community & many many more. Including myself and many others we have brought it upon ourselves to make not only a petition to change the name of Davis park to Ali’s park; but also remodel the back smaller playground in honor of Ali and her favorite color ; pink. A complete pink playground with newly a updated pavilion with butterflies painted on the tables (a lot of us are reminded of Ali through seeing butterflies). This would be an amazing tribute to a huge percentage of chili residents, along with many others to come together in memory of Alison, and i believe it will bring peace to many of us who are still lost without her as we will always be forever. This will be funded through a go fund me if we can raise enough money and get enough people to sign the petition maybe we can get this playground accomplished as a memorial, in memory of Ali. It will be a peaceful playground at all times, as we don’t seek violence through obtaining peace, also it will obviously stay open to the public as it always has; but her friends will just know it is a special place where you can go and know it’s there for her.❤️
