Affordable Housing for Berthoud Colorado

This petition had 180 supporters

As Berthoud continues to grow those who are already here and those who have yet to come to our beautiful community will be in need of access to affordable housing. Under Colorado law (C.R.S. 29-4-204) Section 1 of Title 29 any 25 residents of Berthoud may petition their town government to consider the creation of a local housing authority to ensure that all residents have safe, sanitary, and affordable housing options.

This petition simply asks our local government to consider the pros and cons of a local Berthoud focused Housing Authority. The creation of such commission is not new to smaller communities in Colorado as Brush, Colorado a town of a little more than 5,000 has successfully created their own authority and now offers their residents options through a local reduced rate apartment complex that is in part supported by state funding.

We ask that you if support affordable housing options for Berthoud you sign our petitions and share it with your friends!
