On Saturday 14th of October 2017 one of my best friends Karl Bebbington was hit by a lorry on the A505 by Royston. Sadly he was killed instantly from the impact, which has broken the hearts of many. In his memory I am petitioning to get a pedestrian pathway made on the A505 from the roundabout leading to Cambridge to either the Tesco roundabout or Mcdonalds roundabout with lights and maybe even barriers so that this won't happen again. Parts of the road when you have to walk on the grass the bushes stretch out making you walk in the road to get around them. Karl was hit at 4am, meaning it was dark and near impossible for a lorry driver to see him if he had needed to walk on the road. Next time this will be someone elses son, friend or partner, so why not try and stop it before it comes to that? Every signature helps and gets us one step closer to making our community better.
