George Krallis started this petition to Town Council

As climate change continues to be an ever growing threat, we believe the fight against it can be economically beneficial and should start at the local level. By empowering the town of Beaconsfield to put full time park staff to safeguard Angell Woods we, the people, will notice results. For one, staff will upkeep the trails, making sure they are clear and visible. This will avoid visitor from wandering off trail and increasing the damage done to plants via trampling and allow them to flourish. To add, dogs are also a major contributor in trampling plants by running around in the woods. We are advocating for the city to implement rules on keeping dogs on leash, which will be enforced by the park staff. Along with upkeep comes cleaning up trash left by visitors, which will be beneficial to the animals who could potentially consume it. By creating new positions, we will be creating more jobs for the people of beaconsfield as well as surrounding areas. Although this is a small step, hopefully Beaconsfield can take a leadership role in our fight to making the fight against climate change economically beneficial and inspire other towns to do the same.
