The Towers of Quayside Homeowners Association, Inc. Board of Directors added the following agenda item to the board meeting held on July 27. 2021:

IV.    New business     

Consideration and vote on whether to cancel the Facilities Operation Agreement with CHEF AMINA SUNSHINE LLC The Towers of Quayside Homeowners Association, Inc.dated February 8, 2021 (“Agreement”), in accordance with Section 10.2 of the Agreement.

The Towers of Quayside Homeowners Association, Inc. Board of Directors voted to cancel the Agreement with Chef Amina Ly despite obtaining--or even attempting to obtain--before this meeting and considering the overwhelming positive input and feedback from the majority of unit owners/members of the Association who patronize, enjoy and appreciate the services provided by the current operator of The Great House, Chef Amina Ly.

Despite the board announcing earlier this year before voting to select Chef Amina Ly as the new Operator of The Great House that the previous Food Service Facility Operator breached their Agreement with the Association yet was given months, if not years to improve upon his services, Ms. Ly, who has fully complied with her Agreement, invested in and has added value to our community, brought the facility up to a higher standard of cleanliness, has held numerous sold-out special community public and resident private events at The Great House, and has safely and consistently operated under extremely difficult Covid-19 conditions, was only given four (4) months to operate.

We, as homeowners/members of The Towers of Quayside Homeowners Association, Inc. and residents are outraged and disgusted by this major error in judgment made by the board of directors who were elected by our community to represent the best interests of our community, are responsible to maintain our common elements and amenities, serve their fiduciary duty to all the members of our association, and use sound reasoning and act in a reasonable manner which, clearly, they did not in this unreasonable vote/decision which will no doubt leave our community without an Operator of The Great House until next year until another operator is selected after another RFP process is finalized.

The The Towers of Quayside Homeowners Association, Inc. Board of Directors made the RIGHT decision earlier this year in selecting Amina Ly (CHEF AMINA SUNSHINE LLC) as the Operator of The Great House.

Therefore, we are petitioning The Towers of Quayside Homeowners Association, Inc. Board of Directors to rescind their vote made on July 27, 2021  to "cancel the Facilities Operation Agreement with CHEF AMINA SUNSHINE LLC dated February 8, 2021 (“Agreement”), in accordance with Section 10.2 of the Agreement.
(*Section10.2 Termination for Convenience. Provides 60 days notice to cancel for either party with or without cause)" and to allow her to continue as the Operator of The Great House and serve the community which both Chef Amina Ly and we all are dedicated to seeing succeed now and in the future.
