John Pierce started this petition to Tower Hamlets Council

The Brick Lane area, Spitalfields and the Shoreditch fringe of Tower Hamlets are a fantastic place to live.

It has become a destination of choice for thousands of people over the weekend and it's now one of the busiest places outside of the West End in London.

Unfortunately, not all of the visitors to our area respect where we live.

Too many families and businesses emerge from their homes in the morning to find their doorsteps used as a bathroom and their streets as rubbish bins.

Residents have been consistently let down by the current Mayor's inability to tackle street urination, anti-social behaviour and other effects of the night time economy.

Tower Hamlets Council needs to take action and a first step would be to provide pop-up loos for visitors across the area. Other councils such as Hackney and Westminster have been doing this for years.

These problems have been raised by local Labour councillors over the last four years. The current Mayor and his team have failed act.

That’s why John Biggs and local Labour councillors launched this petition which says ‘Not on our doorstep!’

Local residents deserve better! Sign this petition to get this problem sorted once and for all.
