Touro Lander College of Arts & Sciences was established in order to provide a college setting in accordance with Jewish principles. As such, we do not understand how the college can offer classes on March 10 at 5:30 which is still Purim. By doing so, it is hampering the students ability to celebrate the holiday properly as many students will not have finished their required festive meal by then.

We therefore, call on the administration of Touro Lander College of Arts & Sciences to revisit this issue and cancel classes for the entirety of  Tuesday, March 10.
