Fireworks are not necessary, wildlife is.

I love fireworks but I don't want birds to die for my pleasure.

My granddaughters and I have often stood marvelling at the sky dances of these birds. How sad that a few minutes of 'so-called' pleasure at some bangs and sparks can mar the trust of these birds to living here. One also has to remember the number of other animals suffering with sensitive hearing, at the fireworks.

Starlings were such a common bird to see in my childhood. I used to enjoy the annual 5th November celebrations then too. Like many other man made things, firework displays have increased in intensity and frequency in recent years, as our wildlife diminishes. Time to stop this.

There are silent fireworks, use them instead of murdering our endangered wildlife.

Generally I hate the effect of fireworks on animals and all wildlife. At the very least, if we have to have them, why ?on earth have silent fireworks not caught on

As if the world needs more big bang fireworks that remind us of war.

I was in Bideford yesterday. Even moving the fireworks off the bridge doesn't really solve the problem.

This is just cruel to the birds. Quiter fireworks away from the bridge would be the way to go.
