Steve Simmons violated a player's right to privacy and journalistic ethics by revealing that Auston Matthews was COVID-19 positive. Now he is being defensive and rude about being called out on this unethical behavior. Simmons has a long history of disrespecting players and enough is enough. Auston Matthews called Simmons out on this unethical behavior and he got angry and said that that wouldn't happen to any other journalist. If a journalist cannot uphold basic ethical standards, he should not be able to continue being around professional athletes. Steve Simmons does not deserve to remain in his position at the Toronto Sun and should lose his job.
