AEDs for Kurtis

AEDs for Kurtis
Kurtis absolutely loved his job- from the moment he started his onboarding. He worked more hours than most his age, never once complained and prided himself on his work ethic. He was always looking to learn. His coworkers were quick to see this too and he soon became part of the team.
As you all might know we as a whole suffered a great loss in these past months. During a regular day at work a horrible accident occurred and Kurtis Cleaveley was taken from us without warning. His family and friends feel an unimaginable loss.
The men that were with him during this accident started CPR immediately and did everything they could to save his life. Their efforts, training and swiftness do not go without recognition but with a job as dangerous as this (working with live electrical wires) we were completely shocked to find out that the Toronto Hydro trucks do not contain life saving AED technology. Although we can't confirm that this would have saved Kurtis's life, we cannot help but think it might have made a difference.
We are reaching out to you today to ask that you help us in having AEDs put in Toronto Hydro trucks in Kurtis's name- knowing he would save a life if given the chance to. Signing this petition will not bring Kurt back to us but it may save another family from going through the pain that his feels.
