Save Toronto Golf Courses-Golfers need to be heard by City Council
Why this petition matters

Fellow Golfers;
The City of Toronto golf courses are currently under a review and are now at risk of being eliminated or repurposed. We value these courses as affordable and accessible and we need your help to save them. The golfer's view needs to be heard by Council before they vote of the future of the golf courses which is scheduled for September 2021.
All five City golf courses could be closed, reduced in operation or repurposed:
Dentonia, Tam O’Shanter, Don Valley, Humber Valley and Scarlett Woods
Interest groups are lobbying Council and are being included in the review to have these properties converted to vegetable gardens and/or playgrounds and other uses which will not include golf.
Without these courses, there will be no affordable/accessible public golf left in Toronto.
Our group is made up of golfers who use these facilities and we are not being heard like other interest groups. We would like to present our perspective and propose solutions that would meet the needs of the golfing public as well as the communities surrounding them. This is an opportunity to build and improve on the golf experience along with community integration to improve the quality of life for everyone.
We are petitioning to retain the courses and have our position heard by the Councillors before the vote in the form of a presentation to City Council.
If we do not act now, the courses could be gone forever.
Please help us tell Council we need our golf courses and that we want to be heard before the vote by signing this petition.
Thank you!
