Ross Thornhill started this petition to Torbay Town Council

The Town of Torbay, NL is comprised of a mixture of homes who have their own private well and homes who are connected to the Town's water supply. The water supply originates at North Pond and is supplied to the homes through a pump house located adjacent to the pond. A water treatment plant is required to improve the overall quality of the water being supplied to the residents. However currently some residents have clear water and report no issues, whereas some residents report intermittent issues throughout the year and some residents have constant issues. The worse supply problems result in constant brown water being supplied to the homes, this results in appliance failure, early hot water tank replacement and undrinkable water. These local issues are thought to be a result of poor design and aging infrastructure and have been ongoing in some cases for 10-15 years. It is time for the Town Council of Torbay to investigate, find the causes and implement a repair plan.
