This has been a long overdue effort from two of the greatest artists of our generation.

J Cole and Kendrick Lamar first teased their young growing audiences back in 2011 with snippets of some "top secret shit" where the dynamic duo were heard on numerous occasions partaking in lyrical sparring matches over some dope ass instrumentation that sent the internet and music forums alike on fire.

The aftermath of hearing songs like "Temptation", "Shock the World", and "The Jig Is Up" left fans and critics utterly mesmerized and stunned by the fact that the duo could have their foot on the rap game's neck so early in their careers.

This ultimately left the people wanting more and more as the news spread. This was further fueled by both artists teasing in interview after interview that they indeed had a project in the works and that it would "shake the world up" when it drops, which came to no avail as the window for a release date dwindled from days, to weeks, to months, to even years without a peep from either artist on the matter at hand.

2013 rolls around with a promising feature on Cole's sophomore album Born Sinner with a feature from the man himself, Kendrick Lamar, which left fans feeling hoodwinkled, bamboozled, led a stray, run amok, and flat out deceived when K Dot only offered an chorus appearance.

As the years passed both artists found success and superstardom in their own lanes, going on to release platinum selling albums which further placed the emphasis on the joint project on the shelf until 2015 rolled around.

The greatest tease of them all came from the soundclouds of both artists on Black Friday where two tracks were release with the duo rapping over each others beats from their critically acclaimed albums, To Pimp A Butterfly and 2014 Forest Hills Drive, setting the internet and blogs alike ablaze once again like their previous interaction three years prior.

This was again met with disappointment by the fans as the interaction led to no release date of a collab in sight yet again. Fast forward to the present, four whole years has passed and the duo has yet again release more phenomenal albums that are met with both critical and commercial success but to no avail again, no hint at an collaborative effort in the future.

This has been a seven year kerfuffle that will hopefully end in 2019. Kendrick is now in the clear of the TDE album release window and J Cole has been on a feature killing spree on every track except with "He Who Must Not Be Named".

I ask everyone to go out of their way this year by: Tweeting, Retweeting, Subtweeting, @'ing, DM'ing, Quote with comment, Nagging, Pleading, Screaming, and Yelling at everyone who listens to bring these two brothers together and lock they ass in a studio until they come out with a project that is full of their blood, sweat, and tears.

Or at least a official version of whatever old, unreleased material they might be sitting on that is collecting dust. Anything will do at this point. We real fans desperate as hell to see this thing through.

-and if you made it this far reading this petition, I will like to thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to come to my Ted Talk.
