In order to sell more garments faster, the fashion industry has a poor habit of changing what's "in fashion." Many individuals buy new clothes too frequently in order to stay fashionable, and they discard perfectly wonderful items that still have lots of life in them. When you consider that many clothing manufacturing methods are incredibly wasteful and destructive to the environment, it's clear that customers need to reduce their need for new clothing and make better use of what they currently have.

          Donating your clothing helps to keep landfills from growing and usable materials from being discarded. There is no need for such large manufacture of new products when you give garments and they are reused by someone else, because there is no one to buy them. It also assists us in lowering our own carbon footprint.
