Hello everyone, I'm starting this petition for a cause that I believe many to hold near to their heart. 

This has been a recurring issue for a few years now, which became glaring after the release of "Verso" in 2019. That's right, Mark Suciu has been constantly robbed of the "SOTY" award for reasons unknown. No disrespect to the previous winners, however, in my humble opinion, Suciu has taken skateboarding to a level beyond what people would have ever imagined. The depth and thought he puts into each trick/ part will be the future of skateboarding as a form of video art. However, due to the over-saturation of great skateboarding we are conditioned to seeing on a daily basis, the Suciu often gets overlooked during SOTY season.

This year, Suciu seems to be on a mission. Armed with a college degree and a dream, Mark traversed the nation and made his mark on the likes of San Fransisco, New York City, and "Rust Belt" region of the midwest. With parts like Blue Dog, Curve, Spitfire, and Flora, his combination of technical ability, style, and near spineless trick selection have made him the clear pick for SOTY 2021. His instagram alone makes him a SOTY contender; at one point even applying a Tony Hawk vert maneuver to his local ledge.

Friends, I come to you today hoping that we can commit to 

1. Voting Suciu for SOTY

2. Boycotting the mag if Suciu is robbed yet again. We cannot stand for this any longer. Give the Suciu his trophy or we will ask our friends at Jenkem to dish out this prestigious honor, and we'll buy their hoodies to give to our girlfriends.
