UPDATE: KENNETH CLAIR GETS THE DISCOVERY CHRISTMAS PRESENT FROM THE DA !!! OR DID HE?
Dec 25, 2016 — First of all, Kenneth Clair personally wishes everyone a Merry Christmas. I also wish each one of you a Merry Christmas, and thank you for all of the support that you have been giving to Mr. Clair.
Due to the increase pressure that we have put on the Orange County District Attorney's Office, the DA finally released discovery on Kenneth's Clair’s case to me late Wednesday evening. I do not know if one of the contributing factors of this “change of heart” compliance with the court order was because it would be hard to explain to the judge on January 6, 2017 why they disobeyed his court order. I guess the DA figures that it would be much easier to tell the judge instead, why they were late turning over the information.
So now I have thousands of documents to look over with in the next 3 days or so, because I am positive that they have not given up the information that we ask in the discovery order. If they would have given us everything, they would also be filing an order to have Kenneth Clair exonerated and free from prison. Since that wasn't done, it will take me until at least Tuesday next week or so, to review all of the materials. Of course, if what we are looking for is not contained in this discovery, we will be filing a more detail description of what is missing, with contempt clauses.
Even though I am very skeptical, the fact of the matter is that it is phenomenal that Kenneth Clair got this discovery period. It was because of our petition and determination in this matter. What we are exposing nationwide, your comments, and the increase in our support has made it possible for us to continue to move forward.
Whatever what the DA's motive were to turn over the discovery, I guess really doesn't matter as long as we have it. I will most likely be updating this petition again, midweek next week.
