Why this petition matters

I think it's about time that we really talk about the Pink Elephant in the room that so many people shy away from or immediately place such negativity upon.

Many states around us have already legalized it, made use of the revenue and there are even commercials on television now about investing in stock.

It's time we follow, get out of the dark ages, and stop criminalizing a literal weed.

There are people in jail doing more time on Weed charges then there is for murder/sexual abuse/etc.  It's ridiculous and sadly enough in this economy, it's the only way that some people can make ends meet and not become homeless.

Legalization would offer more jobs in factories/dispensaries and the like and it would cut down the worry of fake weed/vapes/etc. on the street as well as introduce the populace to a far safer weed instead of whatever it may be laced with on the streets.
It'll also offer the populace a safe/secure place to purchase what they need.
Marijuana is safer than Tobacco and Alcohol use.

Our body quite literally has an Endocannabinoid system--THC/CBD has a similar structure to what our body creates naturally so it has no trouble interacting with our receptors in the system.
Marijuana as a whole helps our bodies instead of hindering them much like alcohol and tobacco use can.

CBD has been shown to help with seizures, inflammation, pain, psychosis/mental disorders, Inflammatory bowel disease, nausea, migraines, depression, and anxiety.
THC has been shown to help with pain, muscle spasticity, glaucoma, insomnia, low appetite, nausea, and anxiety.

So why not legalize it as a whole instead of worrying about diluted CBD oils/tinctures/etc. or fake weed/vapes that are more for the money rather than actually helping people?

Wisconsin could greatly benefit from this, especially with how many roads need repairing and any other repairs/additions to the state that we see fit.
It could open a whole new world of opportunities for people with jobs/etc.,and stop the pain and suffering of others.
