Although I did not know him, I am a proud product of Toms River Regional Schools! I think it would be wonderful to have the building named after a remarkable educator who touched thousands of lives.

Al Dietrick took a scared kid and taught me the love of language and the love of reading. He was a huge influence on my life. Thank you Al!

Albert Dietrich was my English teacher at TRIS in the late 1960s; he was highly respected; he was a veteran; he helped put TR Schools on the map; starting programs to keep drugs away from students and help those with addictions; and one final word - he was a LEGEND in the Toms River School District for his dedicated 12 years as Superintendent. I enjoy writing poetry to this very day and I can thank Mr. Albert Dietrich for every poem I write and there have been many - over 3,000. He did his job educating TR Schools students - and then some. God Bless Mr. Albert Dietrich - May he rest in peace.
