State testing is something that most American children do, but we shouldn’t. Because when you think about it. Pennsylvania just signed into Law that you need to score proficient on the keystone exams in order to graduate. But why? Colleges don’t look at it. It’s not graded. Therefore we shouldn’t have to do it. Kids as young as 3rd graders take a test called the PSSA. To kids there age it’s stressful. It’s stressful on high schools too. And it’s mostly stressful on teachers. There are so many rules that have to be followed for both PSSA and Keystone Exams that it’s very overwhelming and you say one word your being investigated for cheating. We need to get rid of these tests. These test do not show what you’ve learned they show how intelligent you are. I am an average person but I scored below average on my keystone exam and now have to retake it. It’s stressful and meaningless. Governor Wolf please end these tests or DON’T MAKE IT A GRADUATION REQUIREMENT. High school students have better things to worry about like the SAT that actually matters in the eyes of college. Please sign this petition to end PA    k-12 state testing.
