Hello, I am hoping you can help me. I reside in Philadelphia where I do have a valid Medical Marijuana card.  The condition I was issued this card for was methadone detox.  I have been on Methadone for about 7 years now, and required to go every day to receive it. I have been detoxing slowly 1-2 mgs. a week.  Since May of 2020 I have been receiving take home bottles due to the emergency declaration issued by Gov Wolf. In the first stages I got 14 bottles at a time, halfway thru they dropped me to 7 at a time - due to an algorithm change they said.  Throughout this entire time, and for many years prior, I have not tested positive for any other substances other than methadone and marijuana.  Under normal circumstances I am considered ineligible for take home privileges because of the positive test for marijuana.
After almost two years of take home privileges (due to the pandemic)  I realize that going to this program every day is hindering my life. I have in these two years been able to obtain employment, and also get enrolled into Strayer University- where I am halfway to my Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice.  I have children and grandchildren who live with me, and after having proved my stability I am wondering what exactly are the rights concerning Methadone and it’s use along with marijuana, and what it would take for me and others like me to be able to overcome this obstacle concerning take home privileges??
