Why this petition matters
Started by Leo Laschon
- I want to contribute to society by being able to commute, Or effectively drive to locations to take the burden off of the geriatric community. This will reduce the burden on our public transportation system, and shift the responsibility to the younger generation. By establishing carpooling to help the general public to get from sector A to sector B. Under-represented drivers burdened by the requirement to have an adult act and their behalf, need a platform to voice their position on this important issue facing the great common wealth of Pennsylvania. We recognize the outdated and archaic manor of selecting the age that is commonly 16 years of age. This is an opportunity of the great Commonwealth to lead the way in the transportation youth movement. We recognize that we need to be mature enough to prove that we can transport the community. In recent studies it has been proven that a reaction time of a 10-13 year old is better than any other age. This would help drivers feel safer that the people around are more aware of their surroundings. We need to be aware of the dangers of people not paying attention to the road and with the younger ages driving safety will be improved in view of enhanced situational awareness. Thank you for your consideration.
