Grandparents rights are becoming more and more of an issue when it comes to custody and wellbeing of children. If the said grandparents dislike the non-related parental party, then they can file for grandparents rights and intervene in a case that should have stayed between the two parents. This is an issue for single parents wanting to do what’s best for their child when the other parent is absent. Most of the time it is done out of spite, in order to cause grief and complications on the custodial parent. I don’t believe grandparents rights should be allowed in any case if the custodial parent is providing a safe and loving environment. Single parents go through enough when the other parent is absent. The last thing they should have to deal with is someone, of no parental relation, trying to hinder them from doing what’s best for their child. Help put a stop to this asinine practice and to keep children with their stable parent.
