Fire the Blues GM Doug Armstrong.

0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!

With the Blues recent trade of Kevin Shattenkirk, the Blues seem to be regressing quickly from a conference finals appearance they had last season. With the firing of Ken Hitchcock, (which was dealt a bad hand) Doug Armstrong admitted it was his fault. Do we really need someone who has done nothing to improve this organization? Most decent draft players we have gotten since 2007 have either been traded or resigned somewhere else. We couldn't offer Shattenkirk a contract due to all the bad contracts we have already given out. Jay Boumeester contract was a mistake as much as you want to hype him up with putting him on team canada. Jori Lehtera was grossly overpaid without proving his worth on a consistent basis. Alexander Steen greatly declining since getting his big contract and now an extension where he continues to decline very rapidly. Jaden Schwartz is also no where to be found this season which still baffles me. Lastly, Patrik Berglund will go back to his old self (mark my words) after his recent contract extension. The fact you keep Armstrong around to keep running this team into the ground is insane. The definition of insanity is literally doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Over Doug Armstrong's tenure as a General Manager he has not made one single trade that has benefitted us in the least bit. Every trade he has made at this point has zero relevance to this team today. Whether that be the Miller trade, the Oshie, trade or any other trade you can think of. Is there anyone on this team we acquired from a trade in the last 5 years (that hasn't signed a new contract with us). We are in a desperate spot with this franchise and the fanbase and the city of St Louis cannot handle another 50 years of mediocrity. There is so much potential being lost on this team just because of bad contracts. Look at the successful teams around the league. The Chicago Blackhawks for example, they make all their players earn it and you see it in their play. They know if they don't bring it night in and night out they might not be playing the next game. They have 6 rookies starting this year and are 2nd in the Division.  Meanwhile we have 10 million between players like Jay Boumeester and Jori Lehtera. I think we all know what needs to be done.

I politely ask you on behalf of the City of St. Louis and the Blues fanbase to fire or make Doug Armstrong resign as soon as you possibly can.

Thank you for your time.

LETS GO BLUES!
