Save Corby's Urgent Care Centre
This petition had 6,797 supporters
Corby's Urgent Care Centre on Cottingham Road provides a vital service to those in our town and wider communities who need urgent medical attention.
In recent years this centre has helped reduce the number of patients needing transferral to nearby Kettering General Hospital, easing considerable pressures on KGH's A&E unit too. This is such a vital service in our community and to lose it would be an unjustifiable reduction to local services at a time when pressures on our National Health Service are increasing. In addition, to close this facility will only exacerbate pressures on other local provisions and increase the likelihood of a major incident at Kettering or other surrounding hospitals.
Therefore the people of Corby and all signatories of this petition ask Corby's representative in Parliament - Tom Pursglove MP - to take immediate and decisive action to save Corby's Urgent Care Centre and to put as much pressure on the Health Secretary, health ministers and the Prime Minister as demand intervention to save this invaluable local service. We cannot afford to lose it.
