No to Two-Hour Parking on Outer Sunset's Taraval Street

The SFMTA is proposing that parking spaces on Taraval Street (San Francisco) between 33rd and 36th Aves and 43rd and 47th Aves be converted from unlimited to two-hour parking Monday - Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. in order to increase parking turnover in these areas. But, most of these blocks are primarily residential, meaning that residents (and commuters) with day jobs will be unable to use these spaces. The majority of businesses that are in the area see most activity in the evenings and on weekends. If this proposal is passed, there will be increased pressure on side streets and the parking on Taraval will be underutilized.
The SFMTA will hold an engineering public hearing on Fri. Oct 6 at 10:00 a.m. to review this proposal. Please sign this petition to voice your concerns to Tom McGuire, the Director of Sustainable Streets, that this proposal will adversely affect the neighborhood
