Adam Lindke started this petition to Tom Gores and

Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. He is not only the face of the NBA, but also the Chicago Bulls- whom were the greatest rivals to the Detroit Pistons. Not only is Chicago a rival to Detroit in basketball; but football, hockey, baseball, and as a city a whole.

To put the Jumpman logo on a Pistons jersey is sacrilegious to the Detroit Piston fan-base. You don't see U of M football with an OSU buckeye on their jersey. Or the Detroit Red Wings with "Patrick Roy" or "Claude Lemieux" on theirs. Or Larry Bird on the LA Lakers. Need I go on?

Tom Gores, I don't know you from a can of paint- I don't know if your ownership of the Pistons is purely business, to restore the team to greatness, or a bit of both.

What I do know is that you've disrespected the entire Piston fan-base with this plan, and should drop the idea immediately. If this was motivated by $, I suggest building a championship contending team. During the most recent Piston championship team, the Palace of Auburn Hills was sold out 259 times in a row (while being the largest NBA arena in the USA with roughly 1000 more seats than the 2nd largest, Chicago).

Do not disrespect the Detroit fans, the team, and it's history.

P.S- my profile pic is what Piston alternate jerseys should have on it.
