There is a new found renaissance happening with skateboarding right now since the pandemic. And Toledo does not have a proper skatepark. Unless you’re willing to haul out to Sylvania. We want to spend our time/money in the heart of Toledo when we skate… 

I recently traveled up to Detroit’s ‘Riverside’ park, and it reminded me of our Middlegrounds park. Right under the bridge, a beautiful view of the city, surrounded by nature aswell as urban downtown culture. I have taken notice in the last few years of the city’s efforts to get more people spending money downtown (aside from the weekend bar shenanigans). And seeing the large amount of smiling faces, and the coming together of Detroits people (of all ages), Has led me to be firmly inspired that if the city of Toledo was to Implement a proper skatepark similar to Detroits well done ‘Riverside’ park, we could enhance our downtown commerce, culture, and community.
