The COVID19  Virus outbreak was just a matter  of Time:  After Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, avian flu, swine flu, SARS, HIV, Ebola, and other diseases nothing changed.

All Viruses linked to meat production or consumption.

Risks for  creating Viruses: Animal Agricultur, Deforestation, Wildlife Trade, Hunting, Fishing, Wildlife Markets, Zoos, AnimalCircuses, Petshops who selling live Animals .

Abused, genetically modified, exhibited, caged in Zoos and Marine Parks , exploited in animal agriculture, fished, hunted, sold, slaughtered, killed by poachers, transported – animals are exploited to the point of extinction.

Exploitation of wildlife by humans through hunting, trade, habitat degradation and urbanization facilitates close contact between wildlife and humans, which increases the risk of virus spillover.

Animal Agriculture:

Our appetite for meat, milk and eggs is what promotes so-called zoonoses. In addition, this behavior means that we will be confronted with new and difficult to control viruses at shorter and shorter intervals-until we act!

Animal Agriculture  raised  Animals for food are kept in filthy, crowded conditions, often without fresh air or sunlight.
The conditions on these farms greatly contribute to the creation of deadly pathogens, including influenza viruses.

Wildlife Trade:

There is extensive trade in wild animals worldwide, both in the form of illegal as well as legal trade in animals that are extracted from their natural habitat, but also in those species that are farmed on a large scale due to your demand. The dimensions of the topic of zoonoses are more extensive than it appears at first glance: For example, in order to meet the high demand for cheap fur for hoods and hats, raccoon dogs are farmed in large numbers in China. These animals represented an intermediate host for SARS-CoV. In the Netherlands, SARS-CoV-2 evidence has been reported in the heart in several independent fur farms. Both in the countries of origin, but also in our country, breeding grounds for pathogens are created through the trading and unnatural keeping of wild animals. Another  still noteworthy aspect of the wildlife trade relates to the countries of origin. Much more far-reaching than the direct risk of a pathogen import  are the incentives for the local population of the countries of origin to intervene and penetrate existing ecosystems in order to hunt particularly lucrative species. We know that human intrusion into previously isolated habitats is an important risk factor for the host transfer of new viruses.

Wet Markets:

Wet markets are so named because they offer perishable foods, like fruit and vegetables, whereas “dry markets” offer only nonperishable products, like grains and household goods. Some wet markets also have live animals, who are often slaughtered in front of customers. These markets can be extremely crowded and usually feature long rows of outdoor stalls set up side by side. With so many different animals, both living and dead, and humans all very close together, the conditions are perfect for zoonotic pathogens (animal-borne pathogens that can infect humans) to develop, spread, and cause disease. The virus behind COVID-19, which has infected more than 2 million people all over the world, is thought to have originated in a wet market called the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan, China.  There are also markets continue to operate throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, and the U.S.

Similarly, the 2003 SARS outbreak was traced back to a wet market in China’s Guangdong province. The virus killed over 770 people in 29 countries.

While calling for drastic changes in wet markets is a good thing, these markets are far from the only places where zoonoses have originated.

Zoos,Marine Parks, Dolphinariums,Aquariums, Pet Shops:

Zoos , Marine Parks, Dolphinariums, Aquariums, Pet Shops who sell live animals are  risk of spreading Viruses like Covid19.

The consumption of wild Animals  and trade in wild animals also favors the transmission of viruses to humans.

We need to rethink how we treat Animals and Nature!

We need to Ban Factory Farming, Ban hunting, Ban Wildlife markets,  Ban Fishing ,Ban Wildlife Trade, ending exploiting  of animals, close Zoos, Marine Parks ,Dolphinariums, going vegan.

If we dont act -  the next Virus  is just a matter of Time.

I urge the WHO, China, European Union,European Parliament, WAZA, USA, Canada, Germany, ASEAN to ban  Factory Farming, Ban hunting, Ban Wildlife Markets, Ban Wildlife Trade, ending exploiting  of animals, close Zoos, Marine Parks ,Dolphinariums, support vegan Nutrition!

PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE THE PETITION ! Thank you so much!

What you can do:

Why not giving Vegn Food a try?   https://chooseveg.com/?utm_source=mercyforanimals.org&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=menu&utm_content=link

We can all make a difference and reduce demand for animal products and the need for factory farms by choosing more delicious plant-based meals. Please dont support Animal Exploiting and Animal Captivity in  Zoos, MarineParks, Horse racing, Dog racing,Bull fighting,Animal Circuses,Rodeo.
